My name is Felicia and I am a California Certified Massage Therapist based in San Francisco, CA.
When I was a teen, my lola (grandma) wished for my happiness in life by saying to me, "Magsaya kayo," (Be happy). In becoming a massage therapist, I have found work I love that is fulfilling and brings me joy. It is my wish, also, to help others be happy and well.
I believe receiving manual therapies can improve the quality of life. With over 900 hours of well-rounded massage training, I can help to ease your pain and aid in your healing process. While in school at National Holistic Institute, I worked at our campus Student Massage Clinic and completed my externship at two wellness spas to hone my Swedish and Shiatsu massage techniques. I also provided Sports Massage at sporting events such as the annual Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.
Since graduating from NHI's Massage Therapy and Health Educator program, I have worked primarily in a spa setting providing both relaxing and therapeutic sessions. I have also continued my education and training with an intensive study under Manusuro Virgil Apostol at Kaïlūkuän School of Indigenous Science. With his teachings and guidance, I am able to preserve and practice Ablon, a form of manual therapy rooted in Ilokano healing traditions from northern Philippines.
I am currently based in San Francisco's Inner Richmond District.
